Seaforth Camping Reserve

Seaforth Camping Reserve

Stop 6 - 140kms

We headed north to Seaforth via Sarina to see the Big Cane Toad...
Big toads will literally eat ANYTHING!

Kick that toads ass!

Whos uglier???

Seaforth is a lovely paid camping reserve with 20c hot showers, water and toilet facilites but no power and no generators allowed...which was nice and quiet..until the birds started screaming like banchees.
We stayed here 2 nights and on the last night, thought we would test out our can inverter with the laptop..we had the solar cranking all day...an hour or so of really good sun then overcast the rest of the day but the batteries seemed OK...
George was on the computer for 45 mins then the fridge shut down and the batteries started saying they were empty, the fridge shuts off when it thinks the voltage is too low...
So we unplugged the inverter and computer and the batteries appeared to be back in normal range and the fridge once turned back on stayed on...mystery?? Maybe our inverter draws too much from the 12V plug at the back of the trailer? We will have to do a few more tests from the heavier cable at the front of the trailer and see what happens???
Anywho, a nice area to stop for a few nights..was pretty busy as it was the long weekend.

We went to the local markets and bowls club...pretty much the only things in town except for the petrol station....

We finally got our signwriting done on the back of the trailer, well I scribbled it out with a paint pen!

We did a quick day trip to Mackay which was backtracking about 40kms south to see what there was to see..and guess what....WE FOUND MORE UNKNOWN BIG THINGS...
