Around The House at Rockhampton

It has been a rare 2 hours of no rain so I thought I would run out and take a few photos round the house...Pretty messy as we have been cooped up in here for a few days! But today.... SUNSHINE...at least for now..tomorrow is meant to be a whole day of Sunshine! So for now we are all opened up and I have wiped all the mould off the walls so we are all clean again! (which I must add would have been impossible for me to do with out my custom-Mott ladder...thanks Steve and Dad)

Due to our non-caravan and annexe shape, and a fairly narrow site, we sit a little funny and the annexe is only half on the slab but its Ok it gives us a nice entrance to wipe our feet.. NOTE the flamingos are loving the rain!

Looking at the backyard of our house and our TV aerial set up - the tent is looking a little flaccid as we lowered the poles to let the rain run off better

Lounge room, looking into the bedroom - sorry I left the bedroom door open ;-)

Apart from a bit of rain and a few day trips, pretty cruisey in Rocky so far...we are here till Thursday 7th. Went to the botanic gardens and zoo yesterday, was a cute little zoo with lots of birds...free entry which was the best part! no not really!
Most of Rocky shuts down on the weekends so we went out for breakkie and a market this morning and might head to the movies later this arvo.
Oh, yesterday we flattened our car battery leaving the small fridge on in there overnight! Who would have thought!?

  1. Hi guys
    House looks good.
Hope dry keeps up, map looks OK.]

Was handling my bottle of Bushmills and the top came off in my hand. Bad luck about that. I hear that it evaporates quickly after that. Seems to be getting less in the bottle before my eyes. Smells good, hope it tastes good, OKOK it tastes really good. Thanks

    Have more fun.

    xx dad

  2. Hi Shez & George Sad that it has been so wet as you can do without that when you are camping. We had a whole day and night of very heavy rain on Sunday but then the sun shone on Monday and has continued today so far. Your Dad's shoulder has slowed him down a bit as it's painful when he does something he's not supposed to do. I am getting my shoulder done at the end of the month hopefully, if the hospital don't cancel.
    Love Nan x
